Who am I?

I'm Lucas Mendes, a native of Ubatuba, born and raised amidst the sea, the waves, and surf culture. Passionate about the ocean since childhood, surfing has always been a part of my life, not just as a sport, but as a lifestyle.

In 2020, I began my journey as a surf instructor, turning this passion into a profession. In addition, I have worked as a lifeguard, an experience that reinforces my commitment to safety, responsibility, and professionalism both in and out of the water.

Knowing the beaches and conditions of the Ubatuba coastline, my goal is to offer personalized, safe, and motivating lessons, helping each student evolve in surfing with confidence, connection to the sea, and respect for nature.

Whether you're a beginner or looking to improve, I'm here to share knowledge, experience, and the true spirit of coastal surfing.

How do the classes work?

Lessons are suitable for all ages and skill levels. The beaches used for lessons are generally: Praia Grande, Perequê Açu, Toninhas, or Itamambuca. The choice of beach depends on the sea conditions on the day of the lesson and the student's surfing level, always ensuring the best experience and safety.

Lessons for beginners

Beginner lessons start with a theoretical part on the sand, where the student learns about the surfboard, basic surfing principles, reading the waves, getting up, and how to use the board correctly.

After the theoretical part, we move on to a 1-hour individual lesson in the sea, with constant supervision, practical guidance, and a focus on the fundamentals of surfing, balance, and confidence in the waves.

Lessons for intermediate and advanced levels.

Lessons for intermediate and advanced students begin with a theoretical section focused on correcting movements and learning new maneuvers, always according to the surfer's level.

Following this, we spend 1 hour in the sea, working on positioning in the lineup, wave reading, timing, turning movements, and technical development in the water.
